Privacy policy
What we collect
Your email address (to sign you in), the name you give your workspace, and the guides you record: screenshots of the pages you choose to record, where you clicked, the text of the element you clicked, and the page URL and title.
Screenshots
A screenshot is taken only while you are recording, only of the tab you are recording, and only when you click. Nothing is captured before you press Start or after you press Finish.
What we never record
Keystrokes and the contents of form fields. When you click into a password field, Walkthru records only that a password field was clicked.
Where data is stored
On servers operated by AskUs Solutions in the European Union. Screenshots are private to your workspace unless you share a guide by link.
Who sees your data
Members of your workspace, and anyone you give a share link to. We do not sell data and we do not use your guides to train anything. Error reports sent to our monitoring service contain technical details and account ids, never screenshots or emails.
Deleting data
Deleting a guide removes it from view at once and from our storage 30 days later. Deleting a workspace removes all of its guides. Email us to delete your account.
The Chrome extension
The extension asks for access to all sites because you may record on any site. It reads a page only while you are recording that page, and it sends data only to Walkthru.
